In the early 80's I became interested in the new age fashion scene, space age fabrics like Latex and wild design.

I started by taking garments apart and experimenting with garment construction. Somehow I just moved towards lingerie and in 1985 my first business was started  " Erotica Fantasy Wear "

At that time our only advertising platform was "Scope" magazine and for R2 you could send in for our catalogue of mail order garments ( They were too naughty for the retail shops ) 

From the very beginning  I would not accept that naughty lingerie should be poor quality and " Who cares if it fit's " design.

I wanted the materials to be good the design good and the construction to last.

I'm not sure who designed most of this type of lingerie, but whoever it was didn't take the time to consult women.

I was determined to find the right balance. Garments that would look good on a variety of sizes and be fit well. 

A style can't be made in a one size fit's all, because people are not  a one size fit's all.

In the early 1990's the brand was confined to adult shops and mail order, but in the mid 90's  Moonlight  was born and mixed naughty undies with high fashion fetish. Featuring in even the biggest of platforms "Cosmopolitan"  winter 95 edition       " Glamour comes clean "

Our first store in the Old Mutual Centre, Cape Town. then later stores in Enslin rd, Ottery and finally the factory and shop in Ottery rd, Ottery.

Erica Decided to take a break just before "Covid" and closed the factory and shop in Ottery. 

Now after 2 years of developing a new brand
